Are you a Visual Artist
wishing to connect with other artists?
New West Artists is an inclusive, non-profit society endeavouring to inspire, encourage, and celebrate visual artists through connection, education, and promotion.
New West Artists welcomes visual artists of all levels, from hobby artists to full-time professional veterans, from anywhere.
New West Artists exhibit at various venues and festivals throughout the year. We’ve held exhibits at the Gallery in Queen’s Park, the Anvil Centre, Century House, 100 Braid Street Studios, the Shadbolt Center, River Market (the Quay), Five Stones Church, and various other venues around the Lower Mainland. Many artists have their own studios.
Meetings are held nearly every month, where we share information about producing our own NWA shows; announce calls to artists; promote our own work; and otherwise fill the needs and solving problems artists consistently face. You needn’t be a member to attend any of our meetings; however, you must be a member to exhibit in any of the NWA shows.
Membership is only $20, and includes voting rights at meetings, exhibition of your work in all NWA shows, our irregular eNewsletter featuring local artist opportunities, plus the support of artists in your neighbourhood. More about membership here.
We welcome your input and feedback. As we all grow together and help to develop the New West Artists Society, you benefit from connecting with a full spectrum of other visual artists.
