Music by the River
at Pier Park

Tuesdays and Thursdays evenings
from 5pm to 9pm
July 2 – 25

ACNW has expanded this event and is inviting NWA to participate.  We can sell any small stuff; however, demos are encouraged.

This is not an art show.  You are asked to bring your own easels and equipment.  NWA will provide one or two tables for you to put out cards, magnets, small stuff.

We can set up on the green grass, or along the cement pad as you walk down the stairs from the 4th street overpass.  We will not be taking racks or tents.  Set up time: between 4:00pm – 5:00pm, take down at 9:00pm.

Artists are welcome to show up at the park and find us!

If you wish to participate officially, please reply to [email protected]  SUBJECT:  MBR/artist name and indicate which dates you will attend.  You can attend all; you can attend one or two.  Obviously, if there is only one artist interested in a given date, we won’t do it, as there’s no point unless there are at least four per evening.

NWA is getting a Roaming Deer!

We have a wall, we have a few supplies,
we have your ideas.

Thank you to Penny Lim and Jenna Mortemore.

The Roaming Deer of New Westminster is a series of public murals inspired by the deer that freely roamed the place we call home. The deer is considered to be a symbol of gentleness and softness. The murals are a daily reminder for us to take care of each other and our environment.

The goal is to paint a Roaming Deer in each neighbourhood of New Westminster. Walking tours will be encouraged for residents to explore and visit different neighbourhoods in hopes of having their own deer sighting.

For more information about the Roaming Deer mural project, visit https://roamingdeer.wordpress.com.
