Welcome
New West Artists is an inclusive, non-profit society based in New Westminster, BC. NWA endeavours to inspire, encourage, and celebrate visual artists through connection, education, and promotion.
New West Artists was founded in 2011 by a small group of artists who had a vision to increase awareness and appreciation of art by connecting artists within our community.
NWA encourages new and experienced artists in developing their art via juried and non-juried exhibitions, and through workshops and coordinated events. As a well-recognized community resource, we continue to anticipate, create and extend opportunities to promote the arts and our members.
NWA welcomes visual artists of all levels, from hobby artists through seasoned veterans to full-time professional artists. You don’t have to be a resident of New Westminster to be a member of the group. Our membership is comprised of artists from many nearby towns and surrounding areas.

Order your NWA Name Badge!
We are doing an order for NWA name badges, they will be $10 each for NWA members. They will be magnetized on the back, so no pin to ruin your clothes.
If you are wanting your name badge for cultural crawl, please sign up ASAP, as the first batch will take longer, as they need to set up the printer template etc. We will be sending the first order shortly. please send an email to our president, Julia for information on how to get your order in.
They will have a silver background. You can choose to have your full name, or just your first name, or the name you prefer to go by – you can indicate this on the sheet.

New West Cultural Crawl 2025
The New West Cultural Crawl is back, and this time, it’s bigger and more vibrant than ever as the annual family-friendly event celebrates their 22nd year. From October 4 to 5, the city of New Westminster will come alive with a vibrant array of events and activities that highlight the city’s rich artistic community. This year’s event promises to inspire attendees with a diverse showcase of local talent and creativity over a weekend of art exploration.
New West Artists at the NWCC
We are excited to be participating in the New West Cultural Crawl once again this year! We are thrilled to be back at The River Market located at 810 Quayside Drive on Saturday and Sunday OCTOBER 4+5 from 11am to 5pm!
Some additional members will be at various locations including Anvil Centre.
