An opera singer by trade and training, Jeanine Fynn is a self-taught visual artist working mostly in watercolour and acrylic, with a curiosity for exploring new media. She began painting in 2020, when singing work was put on hold and her physical disability was worsening, seeking a new outlet to fill the creative void left behind.
Her newfound love for watercolours soon developed into a small greeting card business, blending painting with a deep appreciation for terrible puns. As she expands scale and media, much of her work continues that whimsy, often with a cheeky wink to the viewer.
